THE LABOR DAY CELEBRATION AT THE NCC 2024.

The National Communication Council (NCC) was abuzz with activities on the 1st of May 2024 as it hosted its staff in a grand event to commemorate the 138th edition of the Labor Day at its head office. The occasion was graced by the presence of the president Joseph CHEBONGKENG KALABUBSU, vice president and secretary general, who took the opportunity to address the gathering and to reiterate on some points raised by the staff delegates.
To mark such a memorable event themed constructive social dialogue vector of decent work and social progress. The NCC president along with his staff went on a sport walk through the streets of the capital city. Workers bonded out of the work space, workers from different units walked shoulder to shoulder.
Via the staff delegate they raised their voices in unison to demand better working conditions and penning down the staff worries. In his keynote address the president acknowledged significant growth and development. He also bid farewell to Mr. NGUIJOL Emmanuel who served the secretary generals as driver retired, quoting he was an exemplary worker. He further welcomed the new employees in to the NCC family while adding he was open to working with all.
The president then reacted to some worries featured in the delegates report. He also pledged to crack down on employees who violate the labor laws. His speech was met with thunderous applause from the audience. The mood at the NCC was one of hope and optimism as workers from all units came together to celebrate their achievements while looking forward to a brighter future.
The event also featured a refreshing buffet from which staff served themselves offered by the administration. As the day drew to a close the president took the opportunity to mingle and exchange greetings with the workers. He was visibly moved by the kind words and affection shown by the team.
